Send and receive Hotmail with Outlook Connector

The Hotmail service has stopped providing the message delivery protocol on the computer using the Outlook Express software. As of June 30th, users must download the free version of Windows Live Mail to continue accessing the offline account .
Through the email support blog, Scott Hammer says the DAV protocol used for Outlook Express is no longer compatible with Hotmail's free 5GB mailbox. To receive large Inbox messages, the user has to wait a long time because the protocol is to download all the information while the data transfer rate is slow. Therefore, Microsoft actively disables this protocol standard.Instead, Windows Live Mail uses a new solution called DeltaSync that copies emails, contacts, and other data between the Hotmail account and the user's computer. The DeltaSync protocol enables recipients to read messages faster because they only download new messages or modified messages along with the headers of messages stored on the server. When it needs to read, the recipient must click on, then the new program downloads the detailed content of the message. All users still use the Outlook.com "older brother" program to download and read messages in the computer instead of webmail, but also need to update the Outlook Connector utility. To download the software you click on the icon below:

Once installed, the Outlook connector will be integrated into MS Office Outlook. It may be necessary to update Windows to make it work. In the first run you fill out the required information and OK.
